Recruited to spearhead the expansion of the Group’s emerging mining business across Latin America, I quickly advanced to become the de facto second-in-command of the regional company, assisting the general manager in overseeing daily operations encompassing mining projects, mineral products trading and cross-border commerce, building the business from inception to an annual revenue peak exceeding US $50 million.

Served as the principal person responsible for drafting and/or reviewing virtually every contract the company entered with third parties, including suppliers, clients, government entities, communities, etc.
As project leader, directed valuation and pre-merger due diligence tasks for more than 100 mining projects, among them several notable world-class mega-projects such as Chesapeake’s Metates project, Teck Resources’ San Nicolas project, Anglo American’s Michiquillay project, Junefield’s Don Javier project, Chilean CORFO’s Boqueron Chañar project, amongst others.

Secured mining concessions totaling over 70,000 hectares across Latin America while managing all permitting, regulatory compliance, and community documentation processes.
Possess general understanding of geology, mining and metallurgy, with comprehensive know-how in the iron ore and non-ferrous polymetallic minerals trading businesses.
Established critical connections with a network of local mining professionals, community leaders, authorities, and financial institutions.
Acted as the key liaison between the LATAM market and the China-based Group executives, developing multiple LATAM market and industry research studies.

During the mid-2000s “China Hype” era of European industrial expansion, I served as executive assistant and project liaison to Mr. José Antonio Del Olmo, then General Manager of Lamborghini Caloreclima S.p.A., originated from the Lamborghini family, a leading European manufacturer of HVAC equipment. In this capacity, I supported both the company’s strategic production relocation to China and Mr. Del Olmo’s broader personal business ventures throughout Asia. This period gave me the privilege of learning from top European business executives and engineers, and it laid the foundation for my professional capabilities in international business, engineering, and cross-border supply chain management, as well as the development of my business-level Spanish proficiency.
Assisted Mr. Del Olmo in planning, development, and ongoing operation of Lamborghini Caloreclima’s transition of part of its European production to Asia.
Established joint ventures with several Chinese manufacturers and ensured the seamless relocation and maintenance of European-level quality and production standards.
Supported Mr. Del Olmo’s additional ventures in sourcing and developing manufacturing capacity across Asia, particularly in the building materials sector, including HVAC, plumbing, sanitaryware, bathroom utilities and accessories, utensils for luxury hotels, amongst others.
Achieved over 50% cost savings through the relocation of production to China, ensuring a smooth transition with minimal disruption to service and quality.
Managed a €20 million sourcing budget, continuously improving supply-chain and enhancing delivery reliability for high-profile industrial clients, including Ferroli, Giacomini, Farho, Cheval Blanc, etc.
Developed a solid understanding of industrial design and engineering through multiple projects focused on optimizing production and packaging systems.
